"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
john 14:27, one of my favaorite verse. Indeed, to have real peace in this fallen world seems to be impossible. As i wrote tis blog, i reflected today for the things that make me angry: in hspt, i always thought that i had been a very patient person, but when the patients are too demanding, when the nurse dedicate too much of her duties to me and when things cropped up, i lost my patient jus in a second. Without me realizing it, i'm already showing frustration and the "dont care" attitude towards the person or the situations that irritates me. And also, as i got home to relax after a whole day's tiring work, my brother provoke me to anger again. He simply enjoy making fun of me, doing things like: distract me when i watch TV, blame me for dirtying the table which he refuse to believe me when i said i didn, and touch me with a dirty tissue paper. All tis happen within 5 min when he reached home..he jus like to make fun of me and i was so angry and shouted at him: " Stop doing that to me!" ...and....actually..it feels quite good when i finally venture the anger at him..wahaha
But i guess this is how we- the human being works. There's no way we can find peace by ourselves. Only God who's slow to anger and abounding in love will be able to give us the perfect peace. When we pour out to GOd about our worried, frustrations, stress, anxiety, guilt and many other emotions that arised due to certain situations, He can do something to it. Many a time we ended up being controled by the emotions bcos we dindnt allow God to help us. Rick warrant says this :"peace, remember, is not a trouble free life, it's a sense of calm in the midst of life's storms." But when we are in the midst of storm, how are we able to find peace? only when we ask God, who allow the storm to happen in our life, than we will be able to find peace it in. But the choice of asking Him relies on us.
Romans 5:1-" Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through Christ Jesus our Lord."
"The blacker the night around us grew, the brighter, and truer and beautiful burned the Word of God. If you look at the world, you will be distressed; if you look within, you'll be depressed; but if you look at Christ, you'll be at rest." -Corrie ten Boom.
